Churches

With approximately 50% of the population of Uganda attending church every weekend, CRANE recognises the importance of working with church leaders and for these leaders to meet together in a non-denominational setting where the only reason for the meeting is to see churches work together to see that children are kept safe.

CRANE assists in creating a neutral forum where church leaders can receive input on improving their church’s care for children. Many churches have embarked on the journey of becoming Child Friendly Churches. The leaders are also encouraged to engage in discussions around how their congregations could be guided and lead to keep children safe and to make the church a safer place for children
